If you’ve read some of my other posts, such as My Travel Bucket List, then you know how much I love the ocean and beach! I grew up by the beach, in Vancouver Canada, until I was 10 years old and my family would walk to the beach almost everyday! We took walks along the Stanley Park seawall, had picnics in the sand, splashed in the (freezing) waves, and watched people play beach volleyball. I could never get tired of listening to the waves crash against the shore. Just sitting, listening, and watching the waves feels like a form of meditation to me (the easiest!). The sea gives me a sense of freedom, expansion, and power that I haven’t found anywhere else in Nature.
While my husband, Tristan, and I were in Southern California a couple months ago, we spent as much time as we could on the beach and I brought along these beach lounge clothes to relax in. I picked up the shorts before we left. Blue and white are my favorite colors and these stripes just feel so nautical. Don’t you just love the cute little pom-poms along the edge of the shirt? Such a fun detail and very trendy these days. You can find pom-poms on everything now ~ bags, shoes, hats ~ you name it! It was a little chillier than I thought it would be while we were there, so my denim jacket was an important accessory (for someone who is almost always cold).
Do you have any favorite beach lounge clothes you love to bring on vacation? Do you love the beach as much as I do? 🙂 I would love to hear your thoughts below!
