Hi guys! I wanted to do a little round up of 4 of my favorite functional and cute workout tanks for women! So keep scrolling and I hope you see something you like šŸ™‚ Similar Top: Here 1. Akrovita Top I recently purchased this top from the brand Akrovita, which I found on Instagram, and it has quickly become one of my favorite workout tops! It has a silky feel and is super lightweight which makes it nice and breathable for sweaty workouts. I have just started going to Soul Sweat dance classes and it’s the best, most fun way to sweat! I love the open back cutout to show off your strappy sports bra and to get some extra air ventilation. Definitely a new favorite! Prana Similar Tops: HereĀ and HereĀ and HereĀ Love This One 2. Prana Top I don’t own a ton of patterned clothes, but I just loved these…

Hi friends! I have decided to do a little series on exercises and stretches for different parts of the body that are simple yet effective. Today I am focusing on the hips. Many people, including myself, are quite stiff in their hips and it’s an important area of the body to strengthen and increase flexibility. When we are stiff, anywhere in our bodies, it becomes easier to injure ourselves. When muscles and tendons are tight, then they can more easily cause an injury even just from lifting heavy furniture or jumping into an intense workout, exercise, or sport. So it is very important to open and stretch out all the different areas of the body. You don’t necessarily have to stretch out every single muscle group everyday – maybe focus on an area per day or try a yoga sequence that targets most areas of the body. These Ā stretches below…

Leggings: Shop DYI, Also love theseĀ and these white ones, and theseĀ with mesh cutouts, marble sport bra;Ā  Denim jacket: Similar, on sale;Ā Navy Tee: Similar; Bag: Similar; Shoes: Keds, love theseĀ Adidas Have you noticed how popular the marble trend has become? I’m seeing it everywhere! From laptop and phone cases, to marble manicures, to marble clothes, to home goods, to flat lays on Instagram. I think it’s such a fun pattern to incorporate into your home and style! It can be easy to go overboard though. I personally prefer to add it in small touches as an accent as opposed to covering your entire home and wardrobe in this wild print. This is my first piece of marble clothing and I was happy to find these leggings from Shop DYIĀ and they are actually now on sale! They are high waisted which I love and stay in place for workouts and yoga (I…

Top : Similar Here andĀ Here, Ā Love this one, on sale, Shorts: Similar HereĀ and Here, Love this romper, on sale If you’ve read some of my other posts, such as My Travel Bucket List, then you know how much I love the ocean and beach! I grew up by the beach, in Vancouver Canada, until I was 10 years old and my family would walk to the beach almost everyday! We took walks along the Stanley Park seawall, had picnics in the sand, splashed in the (freezing) waves, and watched people play beach volleyball. I could never get tired of listening to the waves crash against the shore. Just sitting, listening, and watching the waves feels like a form of meditation to me (the easiest!). The sea gives me a sense of freedom, expansion, and power that I haven’t found anywhere else in Nature. While my husband, Tristan, and I…

Modified Plank / Push-Up – Works arms and absĀ  Hey Friends! We are now a few months into the new year and I am proud to say that I have been sticking to my fitness goal of working out 3-4 times per week! Honestly, in the past I had not kept a workout rhythm. I would dabble in different exercises and try different studios (which is still fun to mix things up!), but I wasn’t consistent. I finally wondered to myself, “I take the time to eat clean and healthy and incorporate superfoods and herbs into my diet, but why can’t I exercise regularly? Something has to change!” And it has! My body and mind feel so much better after a workout, even if it’s just a quick one. While I am exercising my mind is so focused on getting through a movement or posture, that I am not thinking…

Ā Leggings,Ā Boots,Ā Sweater: SimilarĀ HereĀ andĀ HereĀ Bag: SimilarĀ Here, Love This OneĀ and This OneĀ Scarf: HereĀ and Here As the weather here slowly begins to transition to spring, cardigans are my best friend! We still get chilly days (and some snow) so my Sorel boots are still getting some use. But when it isn’t so cold that I don’t need to wear my huge puffy coat, I love opting for a cardigan and this neutral long cardigan outfit has definitely been on repeat these days! I love pairing neutrals together for a relaxed (hint: easy!) and sophisticated look. This one from Abercrombie has been an excellent addition to my wardrobe! It’s so easy to pair with almost anything since it’s neutral colors, but the texture and print makes it more interesting and adds some dimension to a look. Cardigans are also a great thing to throw on over your active wear after a workout to look a…

Top: ZobhaĀ Leggings: LululemonĀ Sneakers: New Balance (similar, love these, and these) There are many ways and many reasons to elevate your style, even if it’s just with little, simple details. It’s easy sometimes to get stuck in a rut with clothes and start to feel bored wearing your same favorite outfits. I’m definitely not saying there’s something wrong with wearing your favorite outfits! By all means, go for it (I have my favorites too!). But I think it’s fun to take your favorite, casual outfit and jazz it up a bit with some different pieces! Here’s My 5 Favorite Ways to Easily Dress up Your Active Apparel: ADD LEATHER- whether it be a jacket, shoes, or hat, it’s such an easy way to instantly add an edgy flair! Top: Satva LivingĀ Leggings: Lululemon As I have mentioned in my bio page, I am going to feature different sustainable and eco friendly clothing lines whenever I find ones I love! So I would like to introduce you to the company Satva Living; a fashionable athletic wear brand focusing on using certified organic cotton for all their garments. There is only a small percentage of lycra added for stretch. The name of their company, Satva, even means pure! So you can bet they are walking their talk and keeping their products super pure for the sake of our health and the health of the environment. The farm they source their cotton from implements sustainable practices and never uses any toxic pesticides, fertilizers, or dyes- all the dyes used are plant based! I think the best place to start with organic cotton or natural fiber clothing is undergarments as they are closest…

The snow is coming down again today! I love the peace and quiet that a snowfall brings. We are the last ones on our block with our Holiday lights still up and I love it! They give a warm festivity to this cold time of year. Even though the snow is beautiful, I can’t wait for our warm Cali vacation coming up in February! My husband and I both love California and like to visit at least once a year! Any recommendations of spots to visit in Southern Cali?? We are planning on lots of beach time! I was gifted this sweater recently and have been loving it as a cozy, winter staple. If it’s super cold out (which it has been lately, and I’m a wimp in the cold!) then I can layer shirts underneath it. I like how the sweater has detailing on the arms and…
