My husband, Tristan, and I recently took a little weekend trip down to Oceanside, CA  to visit his cousin and her family. We enjoyed yummy home cooked meals and chasing the kids in the backyard. For this short getaway I partnered with TravelCross luggage to share some tips on packing light in a small carry-on suitcase. I will admit packing light is not always my forte. I am known to bring several overflowing bags to make sure I have enough options ( a girl’s gotta have shoe options, am I right?!). But this time, I really challenged myself to pack light – it was my first time meeting Tristan’s cousin and I didn’t want her to think we were moving in! 🙂 One of the best tips for packing light is to stick to neutral colors and minimal patterns. Try to bring denim or black pants that can go with…

Have you ever visited the stunning city of Vancouver, British Columbia? If your answer to that question is no, then keep reading and start booking your tickets! I may a little biased because this is the city where I was born 😉  but every single time people hear that I moved away when I was 10 years old, they always ask, “why would you leave such a beautiful city?!” Even though I miss it sometimes, I am very happy with where my family’s path took us; and now I can visit whenever! My husband, Tristan, and I went for a short weekend getaway this summer and had the best time! I loved getting to show him my favorite Vancouver B.C. things to do! 1. Jericho Beach Jericho Beach! We could have spent a month just at this beach! It was one of my favorites to come play at as a child…

I grew up by the beach, in Vancouver Canada, until I was 10 years old and my family would walk to the beach almost everyday! We took walks along the Stanley Park seawall, had picnics in the sand, splashed in the (freezing) waves, and watched people play beach volleyball. I could never get tired of listening to the waves crash against the shore. Just sitting, listening, and watching the waves feels like a form of meditation to me (the easiest!). The sea gives me a sense of freedom, expansion, and power that I haven’t found anywhere else in Nature. While my husband, Tristan, and I…

Cambria~ My husband, Tristan, and I started out our California trip by driving from LA up to a quaint little town called Cambria. It was about a 4 hour drive, but we didn’t mind since we were driving along the beautiful coast! We stopped in Santa Barbara for our favorite veggie burritos from El Sitio. They are seriously the best, so if you are ever in the area, you must give them a try! We stayed at the Cambria Beach Lodge which was literally right along this boardwalk along the water! The sound of the ocean waves gently lulled us to sleep each night. So peaceful! Every morning we would take a walk along the boardwalk with a cup of hot tea in hand. This hotel was super cute with great boho beach vibes in their decor. Lots of white and turquoise which are my favorite colors 🙂 Cambria is…

Hi Friends! As my family and close friends could tell you, I have an innate desire to travel, explore, and adventure! I have been lucky enough to have visited several amazing places in my life so far and can’t wait to visit more! These are my current bucket list ideas, but it is ever-growing: 1. Bali~ I remember a dear family friend, who lived in Indonesia for some time while I was a child, coming to visit us and bringing me and my sister the most ornate gifts from this magical looking land. Necklaces with turquoise and bright red stones, so vibrant and alive with color and culture. And let’s not forget about the pristine beaches and terraced green rice paddies. 2. Fiji~ This has always sounded like a far-away dreamy place. I imagine myself (and my sweet husband of course) lounging on the beach with pina coladas all day! 3.…

It’s that time of year again~ time to set goals and resolutions for the New Year ahead! I feel like this can be exciting and challenging at the same time. To be honest, I haven’t always been the best at journaling  about my goals and then really remembering to hold myself accountable throughout the year. But I’m hoping this year will be different! My husband and I are writing down our goals together and will keep each other accountable! Here is my New Year goals list: 1. Maintain a Consistent Fitness Routine~ I have  liked dabbling in different workouts throughout the years, but this year I want to maintain a regular routine. I will still mix things up though! My favorites are yoga, hiking, barre classes, and floor routines at home (there’s some great Youtube fitness channels!). My goal is to do a workout 3-5 days a week. 2. Move to…
