I recently popped into our local Juice Bar here in Boulder, called Wonderpress, after a yoga class, for a tasty green juice. They have a super cute and chic little space, which was totally packed, which is why these pictures were taken outside! Wonderpress offers a variety of flavors and veggie combinations. I love grabbing a green juice on the go as an easy, nutritious snack! Sometimes it can be tricky to get a full daily dose of veggies with our busy schedules and green juices are a great way to get more vegetables into your diet. I always like to get Organic whenever possible to avoid pesticides and also try to avoid the ones with lots of added fruits as those have higher sugar levels.
Some of my other favorite green juice benefits are:
- Flushing the body of toxins
- Rich in chlorophyll, which is an excellent intestinal cleanser and internal deodorant
- Contains many valuable vitamins, minerals, and enzymes
- Glowing, youthful looking skin
Tasty Green Juice Recipe
- 2 cups Spinach
- 1/2 of a medium Cucumber
- 2-3 stalks Celery
- Handful of Parsley
- 1-2″ piece Fresh Ginger Root
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Pear
Option 1. Juice all ingredients in a juicer, mix together, and enjoy!
Option 2. Blend all ingredients in any blender (ideally NutriBullet or VitaMix) with 1 cup water, strain out pulp through cheesecloth or strainer, enjoy! Consume immediately or store in fridge for up to 2 days.
