Some of you may know that my original hometown is Vancouver, Canada. I still have family and friends in different parts of Canada and I am a duel citizen. My family goes back to visit occasionally but we don’t frequent Vancouver as much as I would like. I have the fondest memories growing up in the Kitsilano or “Kits” neighborhood of Vancouver and taking daily walks along the seawall in Stanley Park or to Granville Island Marketplace to feed the pigeons (I can still remember the smell of that place so distinctly- whenever it comes to me, tons of good memories come flooding over me). As a kid, it was so much fun to watch the master kite fliers down by the marina and the amazing sand castle competitions in the summertime. Vancouver is a unique city in my opinion- offering amazing city life as well as exquisite nature to go alongside/interspersed with the bustle of the city.
I was delighted when Silver Icing reached out to partner with me for their “Eh Team” Canadian leggings as they are a Vancouver brand! And just in time for Canada Day! The company was started by an entrepreneur mom and offers comfy and chic styles that are very affordable!
These leggings are a fun pattern while still being mostly neutral colored so can pair easily with black, white, or red tops and most shoes. I have already received many compliments on these leggings! They are a nice, soft athletic wicking fabric with a higher waist (which I love!). They fit pretty snug so they stay in place well for exercising. Silver Icing leggings feature 8-way stretch without ever looking sheer (we wouldn’t want that!). These leggings are also made in Canada! I would recommend Silver Icing leggings for anyone looking to spice up their athletic wear wardrobe with fun prints and functional fabrics! I love that now when I wear these “Eh Team” Canadian leggings I can have a little piece of Canada with me and feel more connected to my heritage.
Happy Canada Day and 4th of July! I celebrate both 🙂 Where are you from? Do you feel connected to your hometown? I would love to hear more below!
